This is a cross-category shelf: food, skincare, clothing, home care and gifting from vendors who work with plant-based or lower-impact materials. Because it spans so many categories, it is worth knowing how the criteria differ.

How to judge each category

• Food. Look for an FSSAI licence number on the pack and an organic certification (NPOP / India Organic) if the listing claims organic sourcing. Ingredient lists should be short and readable.
• Skincare. Check the INCI list rather than the front-of-pack wording. Cold-pressed oils, plant butters and clay-based cleansers are common here. Patch-test anything with essential oils.
• Textiles. Bamboo viscose, organic cotton and linen dominate. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 confirms the finished fabric was tested for harmful substances — it is a safety standard, not a performance or organic claim.
• Home & cleaning. Prefer concentrates, refills and bar formats over single-use plastic bottles; check whether refill packs are actually stocked before committing.
