Vegan Bath & Body Products in India

Bath and body is the category where animal-derived ingredients hide most often — usually in the base rather than the fragrance. This range is filtered for formulations without them, covering cold-process soap bars, shampoo and conditioner bars, body washes, scrubs, body butters, bath salts and oils.

Reading the ingredient list

• Common non-vegan ingredients: honey, beeswax (cera alba), lanolin, stearic acid of animal origin, carmine, and milk or ghee in traditional ubtan-style formulas.
• Surfactants. If you want to avoid sulphates, look for sodium coco-sulfate, decyl glucoside or sodium cocoyl isethionate instead of SLS/SLES.
• Bar soap vs syndet. True saponified soap sits around pH 9–10; syndet bars are formulated closer to skin pH and are gentler on dry or eczema-prone skin.
• Fragrance. "Parfum" is an umbrella term. Products listing individual essential oils tell you more, though essential oils can still irritate sensitive skin at high levels.
• Shelf life. Preservative-free water-based products spoil quickly. Anhydrous bars and oils keep much longer.
