A cold process soap built on the old haldi-besan ubtan idea: turmeric and gram flour in a bar, with kokum butter and A2 cow milk carrying the moisture. The besan gives it a mild grain, so it washes with a little more texture than a plain bar. Recommended for dry skin, pack of two 115 g bars.

Ingredients

Turmeric Powder, Besan, Kokum Butter, A2 Cow Milk, Saponified Cold Pressed Castor and Coconut Oils, Rice Bran and Sunflower Oils, Sea Salt, Lavender, Cedarwood, Palmarosa and Fennel Essential Oils.

How to Use

Lather in wet hands and massage lightly over the skin so the besan can do its work, then rinse well. Keep the bar on a draining soap dish afterwards.

Good to Know

Contains A2 cow milk, so this bar is not plant-based. Turmeric can leave a faint yellow cast on a very light face cloth, so rinse cloths promptly. Colour and texture vary between batches. Patch test before regular use if your skin reacts to turmeric.

FAQs

Will the turmeric stain my skin or towel?

Not the skin at normal use. A pale towel can pick up a light tinge if it is left damp against the bar, so keep them apart.

Is it scrubby?

Only mildly. The besan adds a soft grain, nowhere near the roughness of a salt or walnut scrub.

Does it contain any animal-derived ingredient?

Yes — A2 cow milk. The Calendula, Gulab and Cinnamon Spice bars are made with plant ingredients only.
