How to Use

Use them for water and chilled drinks. Avoid soft drinks, citrus juice and other acidic liquids, which can react with copper. If you store drinking water in copper overnight, pour it into a glass before drinking rather than leaving it standing indefinitely.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the outside with a soft cloth after use.
• To clean: mix lemon and salt in warm water, pour it into the mug, leave for 15 minutes, then shake and rinse with clean water.
• Dry fully before storing. Do not put copper in a dishwasher.

Good to Know

• Handmade copper carries slight bumps and bends; that is the nature of the craft.
• Copper oxidises and darkens on contact with air. Regular cleaning restores the colour.

FAQs

Can I put these in the freezer or fill them with hot drinks?

They are intended for cold and room-temperature drinks. Copper conducts heat quickly, so a hot drink makes the mug uncomfortable to hold.

Why can I not use them for soft drinks or juice?

Acidic liquids may interact adversely with copper, so we do not recommend it.

The mugs have darkened. Are they damaged?

No. Oxidation is normal for pure copper. The lemon-and-salt clean brings the shine back.
