How to Use

Fill the bottle with drinking water and leave it to stand, traditionally overnight. Use it for plain water only. Rinse before the first use and again whenever the bottle has been stored empty for a while.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the outer surface with a soft dry cloth after use
• To refresh the inside, mix lemon juice and salt into warm water, pour it in, leave for about 15 minutes, then shake and rinse with clean water
• Do not put the bottle in a dishwasher
• Dry it fully before storing so water does not sit inside

Good to Know

• Copper darkens as it oxidises in air. This is normal and comes off with regular lemon-and-salt cleaning
• Slight bumps and bends are a feature of hand-beaten copper, not a defect
• Not suitable for hot liquids or for carbonated and acidic drinks

FAQs

Can I put juice, buttermilk or a soft drink in it?

We do not recommend it. Acidic and fizzy liquids can react with copper, so keep this bottle for plain water.

Why has my bottle changed colour?

Exposure to air oxidises copper and leaves a dull or patchy tone. Clean it with the lemon and salt method described above and the shine returns.

Is the cleaning brush included or sold separately?

It is included in the box. The coir bristles are stiff enough to reach the base and shoulders of the bottle without scratching the copper.

How is this different from the 750 ml version?

Capacity and pattern. This one holds a litre and carries a hammered wavy finish, while the 750 ml bottle is a smaller hammered black diamond design.
