How to buy from a new listing sensibly

• New products have no reviews yet. Read the ingredient or material list on the listing rather than waiting for social proof, and check whether the brand has other products you have already tried.
• Start with the smallest size. Most new skincare and food lines launch in more than one pack size. Buy the small one first, particularly for anything applied to skin.
• Check the manufacture date on new food lines. A newly listed product is usually freshly made, which matters most for seeds, nut butters and cold-pressed oils.
• New clothing from a new vendor means an unfamiliar size block. Measure a garment you already own and compare against the chart rather than ordering by label size.
• Seasonal launches sell through. Festive and weather-specific ranges are made in limited runs and are not usually remade the same year.
