Washable period underwear in bamboo fabric by Bamboology, with a built-in absorbent layer so they are worn on their own or as backup to a cup or pad. Two constructions: 3-layer for light days and the start or end of a period, and 5-layer for heavier flow. Sold singly and in packs of two. The bamboo fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified (certification details).

3-layer or 5-layer

3-layer — light flow, spotting, discharge, or backup with a menstrual cup. Not for heavy days.
5-layer — moderate to heavy flow; the extra absorbent layers hold more and sit slightly thicker.

Care

Rinse in cold water after wearing until the water runs clear.
Machine wash cold in a laundry bag; no fabric softener or bleach.
Line dry. Do not iron the absorbent panel.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours can I wear a period panty?
It depends on flow and layer count. On a light day a 3-layer pair can last most of the day; on a heavy day change a 5-layer pair every 4–6 hours or use it as backup.

How many pairs do I need?
Three to four pairs cover a cycle if you wash as you go.

Do they feel bulky?
The 3-layer is close to ordinary underwear. The 5-layer is noticeably thicker at the gusset but not through the rest of the panty.

How long do they last?
Washed cold and line dried, a pair typically lasts a year or two of regular use.
