Wood-pressed groundnut oil with the warm, nutty aroma that peanuts give when pressed slowly rather than refined. It has a high smoke point, which makes it the workhorse frying oil in much of western and southern India — for pooris, bhajias and everyday sabzi. Unrefined, with nothing added after pressing.
Key Features
Ingredients
Wood-pressed groundnut (peanut) oil.
How to Use
Use it for deep frying, shallow frying, tempering and everyday sabzi. It also works well in Maharashtrian and Gujarati cooking where a light nutty background note is wanted, and in salad dressings when you want more character than a neutral oil gives.

Good to Know
This is a peanut product and is not suitable for anyone with a peanut allergy. Natural sediment can settle at the bottom of an unrefined oil, which is expected. Reuse frying oil sparingly and strain it, as repeated heating degrades any oil.
FAQs
Is it good for deep frying?
Yes — its high smoke point is the main reason Indian kitchens choose groundnut oil for frying.
Will it make food taste of peanuts?
Only faintly. It is much milder than mustard oil, and the nuttiness suits most Indian cooking.
What is the sediment at the bottom?
Fine particles left from pressing. Unrefined oils are not filtered as aggressively as refined ones.
