• Cold-pressed olive oil (Olea europaea)
• Saponified cold-pressed coconut oil (Cocos nucifera)
• Castor oil (Ricinus communis)
• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii)
• Vegetable glycerin
• Aloe vera extract (Aloe barbadensis)
• Deionised water
• Sodium cocoyl isethionate, a coconut-derived surfactant
• Turmeric powder and oil (Curcuma longa)
• Hand-pounded cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)

How to Apply

• Use at night on damp skin
• Work a small amount into a light lather with the fingertips, avoiding the eyes
• Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry
• Follow with your usual moisturiser

Good to Know

Turmeric can leave a temporary yellow tint on very fair skin and can stain light-coloured towels and washcloths — use a dark cloth. Patch test on the inner arm before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin or a nut or plant allergy. Handmade batches vary slightly in colour and scent.

FAQs

Will turmeric stain my skin?

Any tint from rinsing off is temporary. The bigger risk is staining fabric, so keep it off pale towels and pillowcases.

Can I use it in the morning too?

It is formulated as a night cleanser, which is when most people use it. There is nothing preventing morning use if it suits your skin.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It leaves out sulphates and synthetic fragrance, but turmeric and cardamom are still active botanicals. Patch test first.

Does it contain nuts?
