FAQs

Why has my oil turned solid and white?

Coconut oil sets below about 24°C. It melts back to clear liquid with a little warmth and nothing is wrong with it.

Will my food taste of coconut?

Yes, noticeably. Virgin oil keeps its aroma. For neutral cooking, the sunflower oil in the range is the better choice.

Can I use the same jar for cooking and for hair?

You can, but it is tidier to keep separate jars so the cooking oil stays free of contamination.

Is it suitable for high-heat cooking?

It handles ordinary stovetop cooking and baking well. For repeated deep frying, groundnut oil is the more usual choice.
