FAQs

How is kahwa different from plain green tea?

Kahwa is the Kashmiri preparation: the same green leaf, but steeped with warm spices and saffron, which gives it a fuller aroma and a rounder taste than green tea on its own.

Is it sweet?

No sweetener is included. Kahwa is often taken with a little honey or sugar, so add your own after brewing if you prefer it that way.

Can I brew it for longer?

You can, and the spice notes deepen, but green tea leaf turns bitter past about four minutes. Three minutes is a good balance.

Does it contain nuts?

Nuts are not part of this blend. Traditional kahwa is sometimes served with slivered almonds, but those are not included here.
