Cold-pressed groundnut oil made from Maharashtra-grown groundnuts, single filtered and left unrefined. Known regionally as peanut oil, shengdana tel or mungfali oil, it has the faint roasted-nut aroma that refined oils lose, and it holds up to Indian cooking temperatures. This is a general-purpose kitchen oil for everyday tadka, sautéing and frying.

FAQs
Is it strong-tasting?
It carries a mild roasted-peanut aroma, more than refined oil but not overpowering. In tempered dishes it reads as pleasant depth.
Can I deep fry in it?
Groundnut oil is traditionally used for frying in Indian kitchens and handles it better than flaxseed or unrefined coconut oil. Avoid reusing the oil repeatedly.
Why is the oil slightly cloudy?
It is single filtered rather than refined, so fine particles remain and may settle. Shake or let it stand — it does not affect the oil.
How is cold-pressed different from wood-pressed?
Both avoid high heat. This oil is cold-pressed and then filtered once, which keeps the natural aroma and colour that refining removes.
