Classic Detox Tea – Green Tea with Honey and Lemon, 50 g | The Vintage Hill Teas

A green tea blended with honey and lemon notes, packed in a 50 g pouch by The Vintage Hill Teas. The lemon gives the cup a clear tang and the honey character rounds it off, so it drinks smooth rather than sharp or grassy. It suits anyone who finds plain green tea too bitter and wants something easy to drink through the day.

Key Features

• Tasting notes: tangy, sweet, smooth and refreshing
• Caffeine: medium to low
• Blended in small batches rather than mass filled
• Not bitter, even when steeped a little long
• Loose leaf, so the leaf has room to open properly

How to Brew

Use about one teaspoon per cup in water just off the boil, around 80 to 85 C, and steep for two to three minutes. Green tea turns astringent in fully boiling water, so let the kettle settle for a minute first. Strain and drink as is; the honey and lemon notes come from the blend, so no additions are needed.

FAQs

Does it taste sweet on its own?

There is a natural sweetness to the cup from the blend, but it is not a sugared tea. Add sweetener if you prefer a fuller sweetness.

Can I brew it cold?

Yes. Steep in cold water in the fridge for several hours and serve over ice; the lemon character reads more clearly in a cold brew.

How strong is the caffeine?

Medium to low, which is typical for a green tea, so it is easier to drink later in the day than a black tea or chai.

How long will the pouch last?

A 50 g pouch gives roughly 25 cups at one teaspoon per cup. Once opened, keep it sealed so the aroma holds.
