Natural Deodorant Cream in India — Aluminium-Free & Vegan

Cream deodorants work differently from antiperspirant sprays. They do not block sweat; they manage odour, which is produced by skin bacteria rather than by sweat itself. That means you will still perspire, and for most people that is the point of switching. Expect a short adjustment period of a week or two when moving off an aluminium antiperspirant.

What to check on the label: baking soda is the most common odour-control ingredient and also the most common cause of irritation, so if you have reacted to a deodorant before, look for a magnesium or arrowroot-based formula instead. Shea and mango butter give the cream its body, while jojoba and almond oil keep it spreadable in cooler months — in Indian summers a higher butter content can go soft, so store the jar away from direct sun.

Application matters more than quantity. A pea-sized amount warmed between the fingers and spread thinly is enough; using more does not extend the wear time and tends to mark clothing. Apply to clean, fully dry skin, and avoid using it straight after shaving or waxing.
