Vegan Health & Wellness Products in India
Plant-based supplements vary widely in quality, and the label tells you more than the marketing does. This range covers vegan protein powders, vitamins and minerals, moringa and other whole-food powders, herbal balms and oils, feminine hygiene, and yoga accessories — all free of gelatin, lanolin, carmine and dairy-derived ingredients.
What to read on the label
- Capsule shell. Most Indian supplements use gelatin. Vegan products use HPMC or pullulan — it should say so explicitly.
- Vitamin D3 source. Conventional D3 comes from lanolin (sheep wool). Lichen-derived D3 is the vegan form.
- Protein per serving, not per 100g. Compare the actual scoop size, and check whether the protein is pea, rice, soy or a blend — a pea-rice blend gives a fuller amino acid profile than pea alone.
- Added sugar. Check the nutrition panel figure rather than front-of-pack wording.
- FSSAI licence number should be printed on every food supplement sold in India.
- B12 and iron are the two nutrients most worth planning for on a plant-based diet.
Supplements support a diet; they do not replace medical advice. Speak to a doctor before starting anything new, particularly during pregnancy or alongside medication.
